Welcome to Local House by localhost. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, application platform, residency program, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By applying to or participating in any Local House offering, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.
who we are
Local House is a 50-day offline residency program designed to help early-stage builders go deep into execution. We bring together 24 people from across India and the world into a single house in Gurgaon, NCR. This is not an incubator, accelerator, or college alternative — it’s a space to build something real with focus, friction, and community.
We offer:
Shared and private rooms
Two healthy meals daily
Housekeeping and laundry
Rooftop and whiteboard workspaces
Regular demos, peer reviews, and launch support
Access to our extended builder network and grants
who can apply
To be eligible:
You must be 18 years or older at the time of application. If under 18, written parental or guardian consent is required.
You must be willing and able to relocate to Gurgaon, NCR for the full 50-day duration.
Applicants from any nationality or country are welcome to apply — you do not need to be based in India.

You are responsible for ensuring all submitted information is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
Misrepresentation may result in disqualification or dismissal.
Application & Selection
Submitting an application does not guarantee admission.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and evaluated based on merit, creativity, potential, and alignment with our values.
Local House reserves the right to accept, waitlist, or reject applications at its sole discretion.
You may apply for a need-based scholarship within the same application form. These are reviewed separately.
Commitments Upon Acceptance
If selected, you agree to reside at the Local House premises for the entire 50-day program.
Partial attendance or early exit is not allowed, except under exceptional circumstances and with prior written approval.
Participants must agree to and uphold the Local House Code of Conduct provided before move-in.
Fees, Payment & Refund Policy
This is a paid program.
The program fee must be paid in full within 7 days of receiving your acceptance email.
No refunds will be issued once payment has been made, including in the event of withdrawal or dismissal.
All funds go toward housing, food, staffing, and supporting underserved builders in India.
Scholarships & Financial Assistance
Local House offers a limited number of need-based scholarships.
These are awarded based on demonstrated financial need, not merit.
You will be asked to answer short questions and may be contacted for clarification.
Decisions on scholarships are final and non-negotiable.
What’s Included in the Program
Each selected participant will receive:
A private or shared room (194 to 287 sq ft)
2 daily meals and drinking water
Laundry and housekeeping services
High-speed WiFi and rooftop/common workspaces
Whiteboards, feedback sessions, demo nights
Access to mentors, community events, and our extended network
Any services outside of these inclusions may be billed separately.
Code of Conduct
All residents must contribute to a quiet, respectful, and focused environment.
No illegal activity, harassment, discrimination, or disruption is permitted.
Violations will result in disciplinary action, including immediate dismissal without refund.
Detailed guidelines will be shared and signed before the program begins.
Intellectual Property & Ownership
You retain full ownership of any work you build during your stay at Local House.
We will never claim rights over your projects.
With your permission, we may request to feature your work on our website, social media, or publications — always with credit.
Media & Publicity
You agree that Local House may use photographs, video, audio, or written testimonials of you for promotional, documentary, and educational purposes.
You may opt out by submitting a written request before the program begins.
Liability & Safety
Local House is not liable for any personal injury, theft, or property damage unless caused by our proven negligence.
Residents are responsible for their own belongings, health, and travel arrangements.
We recommend purchasing travel and health insurance.
Modifications to Terms
Local House may update or revise these Terms at any time.
We will notify participants of any major changes via email or website notification.
Continued participation implies acceptance of the updated terms.
